How To Connect Your PoE NVR To Wireless Cameras
Hard-wired security camera systems require less setup and configuration than wireless security camera systems. The wired camera systems from CCTV Camera World include plug-and-play technology, making setup a breeze. For applications where running cable isn't an option, we provide secure wireless systems that eliminate the need for cable. Wireless security camera systems, like any other security camera application, have certain limitations. Customers frequently approach us to request a wireless camera for their system So, we provide Best CCTV Services in Lahore or to inquire about a complete wireless system. Members of the CCTV Camera World customer service staff are quick to point out that a bad wireless setup will result in unreliable, if not non-existent, video transmission. It is also our responsibility, must advise clients that because the wireless cameras are always on, a 110V AC power source is required at the desired location.
Channel Wireless Systems
Channel wireless systems from CCTV Camera World are ideal for tiny, single-story residences. Both the NVR and the IP cameras in these systems feature built-in WiFi access points. Stronger wireless radios that are independently installed to the NVR and IP cameras are required for long-range wireless video transmission. If there is a clean line of sight, this configuration will give transmission up to 1000 feet; but, if there are impediments, the distance will be reduced.
We'll show you how to set up a Point to Point long-range wireless link in the section below. We're going to be taking connecting a standard hard-wired IP security camera (without a built-in access point) to an external access point We'll perform the same thing with an NVR by attaching an external access point to the NVR's back. In this instance, the access points have already been established, and the two radios will automatically couple once they turn on. There's also a video showing the setup.
Installation Of CCTV Cameras
The first step is to set up the IP camera.
Thread the antenna onto the top of the access point that your IP camera will be connected to protect the network connection from water, connect a network cable to the access point and snap on the enclosure. Connect the network cable from the access point to the other endpoint to the power injector's PoE side Connect your IP camera to the power injector's LAN port with a network cable.Attach a power source to the PoE adapter with a female power jack that's connected to the power injector's LAN port, then connect the male power plug of the second PoE adaptor to the IP camera's female power jack if you're using a set of passive PoE adapters. The two passive PoE adapters will be connected by a network cable, which will transfer video, power, data, and PTZ functionalities. If you don't have any PoE adapters, you can just plug a power supply into the camera's female power jack.
Connect the power cord of the PoE power injector to a 110V AC wall socket.Plug a 110V AC wall outlet for the camera's power supplyThe access point will light up if all connections were performed correctly.Best CCTV Services in Pakistan
Step 2: Configure the NVR
Connect a network cable to the PoE side of the power injector that will be used to power your NVR's access point. Connect the opposite end of the network connection to the power injector's PoE port on the access point. Connect the LAN side of the access point's PoE injector to the NVR with a network cable. You can use either a PoE port or the network port located in the back of the NVR.Connect the access point's power chord to a 110V AC wall outlet. Power the NVR with the power supply specific to Connect the NVR's power cord to a 110V AC wall socket.
Step 3: Using an NVR/DVR to View a Wireless IP Camera
Connect your NVR to a monitor and mouse. Your camera(s) should display on the NVR automatically if all connections were done correctly, there are no obstacles between the wireless radios, and the access points were pre-configured. Right-click on the camera grid screen in the NVR and select "Registration." Your IP camera should display its IP address as well as a green light indicating that it is properly networked.
